Free Meals and Perks for Creators in Bangkok
Updated November 1, 2026
A gifted gig is a venue giving you a free meal, table, ticket or product in exchange for an agreed post. No cash, but it's the easiest way to start, build a portfolio and get to know venues that may pay you next time.
What gifted gigs in Bangkok look like
| Kind | What you get | What you usually post |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurants and cafés | A meal or tasting set | One video or photo post, sometimes stories too |
| Bars, rooftops, clubs | A table or entry on a set night | Stories or a vibe video (20+ only) |
| Events and attractions | Event or entry tickets | A video or post after you go |
| Spas, salons, gyms | A treatment or trial class | A before/after or walkthrough video |
| Products | Items delivered to you | An unboxing or how-I-use-it video |
The perk should match the ask. A small meal for a video, stories and ad rights isn't a good deal; big asks should be paid gigs. See sponsored post rates.
How to claim a perk on Ngaan
- Open [gigs](/gigs), filter to gifted, and check what you get, what to post and by when.
- Claim or apply. Some venues approve you, some let you claim instantly. Some hide the venue name until you're picked; until then you see only the type of place and the area.
- On the day, open your pass in the app and let staff scan the QR to check you in.
- Post what you agreed, on time, with #โฆษณา. Ngaan detects the post, so the venue doesn't have to chase you.
Each week you have a claim budget for gifted and visit gigs. It starts at 3 a week and resets on Monday. It goes up as you show up and deliver, and down after no-shows.
Etiquette that gets you invited back
- Be on time. The venue is holding a table for you. If you'll be late, say so in the gig chat first.
- Bring a friend only if the gig says +1. If it doesn't say you can bring one person, go alone.
- Check in with staff as soon as you arrive, so the venue knows you're there and it's recorded that you showed up.
- Order what's offered. If you want extra, ask whether it's included or on you.
- Shoot without bothering other guests: no big lights, no filming people who haven't agreed.
- Post what you agreed, by the date you agreed. Tag the venue correctly and add #โฆษณา or #gifted. See how to disclose.
- Be honest. If something wasn't right, tell the venue in the chat. Most want to know.
No-shows cost more than you think
The venue held a table, prepped food or saved tickets for you. Skipping without a word costs them the seat and the guest who could have had it.
- Your reliability score drops, and it's on your media kit for every venue to see.
- Your weekly claim budget shrinks, so you can book fewer good perks.
- Cancelling very late (under 4 hours before) counts as half a no-show.
- The venue can review you after a no-show, and that review stays on your record.
Can't make it? Cancel as early as you can. For gigs with a hidden venue, cancelling within 24 hours of being picked, before the slot starts, is free and doesn't count.
Venues that serve alcohol: 20+ only
Visit gigs at bars, clubs, rooftops or anywhere that serves alcohol are for creators aged 20 or older. Ngaan checks your birth date when you apply or claim.
- You can film: the space, the food, the music, the view and the mocktails.
- Keep out of your content: alcohol brand names or logos, bottles, labels, or anything that hints at a brand.
- Always add #โฆษณา, because you received something.

FAQ
›How many followers do I need for free food reviews?
There's no fixed minimum; each venue sets its own. Many Bangkok venues like nano creators (1,000–10,000 followers) whose audience lives in the city.
›Do I need to tag #ad if the meal was free?
Yes. A free meal is still something you received. Add #โฆษณา or #gifted where people can see it. See how to disclose.
›Can I bring a friend to a gifted gig?
Only if the gig says you can bring one person (+1). If it doesn't, go alone or ask the venue in the chat before the day.

Cancel in the app as early as you can. Cancelling ahead hurts far less than not showing up, which lowers both your score and your weekly claim budget.
